Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how Global Academic Supply LLC ("GAS," "we," "our") ships orders, what it costs, when you can expect delivery, what happens if there's a delay, and how shipping works for our wholesale, dropship, FBA, and international buyers.

1. What this policy covers

  • Shipping methods + carriers we use.
  • Order processing time before shipment.
  • Delivery time estimates by destination.
  • Shipping costs for retail, wholesale, dropship, and FBA orders.
  • International shipping (UK / EU / CA / AU / JP).
  • Tracking + delivery confirmation.
  • Special handling: dropship to end-customer addresses, FBA-prep-center routing, large-quantity freight.
  • What happens if your order is delayed, lost, or undeliverable.

2. Where we ship from + to

We ship from a single warehouse in the United States. Specific warehouse location is not publicly disclosed for operational-security reasons; the carrier label shows the routing facility, not our warehouse.

We ship to:

  • All 50 US states + DC + US territories
  • Canada (CA)
  • United Kingdom (UK)
  • European Union member states (DE prioritized; others on request)
  • Australia (AU)
  • Japan (JP)

Other international destinations: contact us before placing an order so we can confirm shipping feasibility, cost, and customs requirements.


3. Order processing time

Order processing means the time between when you place the order and when the carrier picks it up. It does NOT include in-transit time.

Orders ship in 1–2 business days for all order sizes. Custom-source or back-ordered titles are quoted separately on the RFQ response.

Business days are Monday–Friday, excluding US federal holidays. Orders placed after 12:00 PM ET on a business day are treated as next-business-day orders for processing purposes.


4. In-transit delivery time

Worldwide transit: 4–14 business days from the day the carrier picks up the order.

Total order timeline = processing time (1–2 business days) + transit time (4–14 business days).


5. International shipments

The 4–14 business days transit window applies worldwide. International transit time excludes customs clearance delays, which are outside our control. Buyers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, VAT, or import fees imposed by the destination country.


6. Shipping costs

Free standard shipping on every order, worldwide. No order minimum. No fuel surcharges, no zone fees, no surprise add-ons at checkout.


7. Wholesale + institutional shipping

Free standard shipping on all wholesale and institutional orders, worldwide. For wholesale orders, the shipping arrangement is locked at the time of RFQ acceptance and does not change for the duration of the order lifecycle.


8. Shipping costs (international)

International shipping is calculated at checkout (retail) or quote time (wholesale) based on weight + destination + service level. We do not subsidize international freight; buyers see the full carrier rate.

For institutional buyers ordering ≥100 copies internationally, we negotiate freight rates and may offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms in select destinations. Contact [email protected] before placing an international bulk order.


9. Carriers we use

  • US domestic: UPS, FedEx, USPS Priority Mail (small parcels).
  • US freight: UPS Freight, FedEx Freight, third-party LTL carriers per pallet.
  • International: UPS Worldwide, FedEx International, USPS Priority Mail International, DHL Express (case-by-case).

We choose the carrier per order based on destination, weight, service level, and current carrier rates. Buyers cannot pre-select a specific carrier at checkout for retail orders. Wholesale buyers may specify carrier preference in the RFQ.


10. Tracking

Every shipped order includes a tracking number, sent by email to the address on the order:

  • Email subject: `Your Global Academic Supply order #[N] has shipped`.
  • Email body: carrier name, tracking number, tracking URL, expected delivery date.

If you don't receive the shipping email within 24 hours after the order's processing time has passed, check your spam folder, then email [email protected] with your order number.


11. Dropship shipping (special rules)

When you sell via dropship through GAS:

  • We ship from our warehouse direct to your end-customer's address.
  • Branding: GAS-branded packaging by default, OR blind / white-label packaging if your contract specifies (so the end-customer sees only your brand).
  • Sender on the carrier label matches the branding choice (GAS-branded or blind).
  • Tracking flows back to you (the reseller); end-customer receives a generic "your order has shipped" template that you customize before order activation.
  • Transit time matches the standard US/international tables above; we don't add additional handling for dropship.
  • Order minimums per contract; typically 1+ copy with min_qty per SKU per country (configurable).

12. FBA shipping (special rules)

When you order to forward to Amazon FBA fulfillment centers:

  • Provide the FBA inbound shipment ID + Amazon-provided destination FC + carton-labeling requirements at order time.
  • We can ship to your FBA-prep center for relabeling, OR direct-to-Amazon-FC for FBA-eligible cartons.
  • Pallet shipments are coordinated with your appointed Amazon FC carrier; we provide pickup-ready pallets at our dock with the appropriate ASN information.
  • Carton labels are applied per Amazon's current FBA requirements; if Amazon's labeling rules change, we update on the next batch.

13. Customs + duties (international)

For international orders:

  • Buyer is responsible for customs duties, taxes, VAT, and import fees imposed by the destination country.
  • We declare the actual order value on the customs form. We do NOT mark international orders as "gift" or under-declare value (this is illegal in the destination countries we ship to and creates carrier liability).
  • We provide a commercial invoice (PDF) with each international shipment.
  • For institutional / wholesale international orders, we can quote DDP terms (we pre-pay duties and bill them as part of the invoice) where the destination country supports it.

14. Delays

If your order is delayed:

  • Carrier delays (weather, customs, capacity issues) — we monitor + notify you when expected delivery shifts by more than 2 business days.
  • Inventory delays (back-order on our side) — we notify you within 1 business day of order placement and offer (a) wait + ship when available, (b) partial ship now + the rest later, or (c) full refund.
  • Address issues (incorrect address, undeliverable) — we contact you within 1 business day of carrier notification to coordinate fix.

We do NOT charge re-delivery fees for the first attempt to fix a buyer-side address error. If a third re-delivery is needed, we may charge the carrier re-delivery rate.


15. Lost packages

If tracking shows a delivered package but you haven't received it:

1. Wait 24 hours — many carriers mark "delivered" before final placement.

2. Check with neighbors, mailroom, building front desk — common carrier mistake.

3. Email [email protected] within 5 business days of the "delivered" timestamp.

4. We file a carrier investigation. If the carrier confirms the package is lost, we ship a free replacement OR issue a full refund (buyer's choice).

For institutional buyers receiving multiple cartons, lost-cartons claims must be filed within 5 business days of delivery and include a copy of the signed proof-of-delivery showing the carton count discrepancy.


16. Undeliverable returns

If the carrier returns a package to us as undeliverable (refused, address invalid, no recipient):

1. We contact you within 2 business days of receipt at our warehouse.

2. We offer (a) re-ship to a corrected address (you pay re-shipment cost), or (b) full refund minus original shipping.

3. If you do not respond within 14 business days, we treat the order as cancelled and refund minus original shipping + a 10% restocking fee on the merchandise.


17. Free-shipping qualification

Free standard shipping applies to every order, worldwide, with no minimum. The carrier-routed service level is determined by destination, weight, and the title's stock location. Carrier choice is at our discretion (see Section 9).


18. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted at globalacademicsupply.com/legal/shipping-policy with the "Last updated" date in the header. For wholesale and institutional contracts, the shipping policy in effect at the time of the contract remains binding for that contract.
